![]() ![]() I'm attaching setuperr.log here, in case anyone has the time and expertise, and might be willing to take a look (the other one is too big to upload here).Īmazingly enough, Dell has kept my ticket open re: the Intel Management Engine Component Installer.and they're aware of my issue re: not being able to get past 10746 Insider preview. ![]() I see a number of errors, but can't really tell which are warnings, which are fatal, and which I can actually do anything about. I saw a reference in this thread to the "setuperr.log" and "setupact.log" files, which I found under C:\WINDOWS\Panther\NewOs\Panther. I've used the powershell cmdlett to export the windowsupdate log, but can't make heads of tails out of it. The error I get, consistently, is: 0xc1900101 I had a LOAD of Windows.Old dirs, most of which are gone now. I must have tried the Insider updates since 17046 about 20 times. I'm hoping to 1) get the insider previews working again on this machine, and 2) getting the Intel installer to work as well. ![]() They're now suggesting that I wait for a Windows Update that works, or consider a clean install of the production version. In general, the machine is functioning well, with the only anomaly being that the Intel Management Engine Components Installer will NOT install - and I've had Dell engineers poking at this on two different one hour calls. The 9560 is stuck on 17046 - that's the last insider prerelease update that worked. I've been been on the insider program with both laptops for a while now - Dell on Windows 10 Home (4 years old, updating fine - now on 17083), and my primary laptop - an on Windows 10 Pro (a year old, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD). I've been reading through the thread, and many of the posts are all too familiar. Plus there's other inaccuracies that make the planner less than accurate.Hoping for some help here. Well first off, the dorks at Quicken Inc haven't even updated the planner to reflect the new updated Required Minimum Distribution for retirement accounts. For now, at least.īut, I use the Tax Planner and muddle through Quicken's shitty Lifetime Planner, so I'm OK paying for the subscription. ![]() So far, the subscription data file is compatible with Q20. If I ever decide to NOT renew my subscription, then I'll reinstall my Quicken 2017 version, update using the available Mondo patch to the next to last update and just use that. I guess they feel if they cripple the screen space enough and nag the hell out of you to renew your subscription, you'll eventually cave and do it.Ģ017 is the last version without the crippled screen space and nag screen. The nag screen is still there.and apparently Quicken Inc has no intention of removing it. ![]()
